No Noodles is a godsend for those who had their fill of Asian
food, or too busy to go out to eat. You'll find it conveniently
situated in the charming cathedral area in Hanoi's Old Quarter in
a small traditional Hanoian house. The name says it all: no
noodles; if you've been wishfully hankering over freshly-baked
baguettes crammed with meats, salads and mayonnaise, you've got
it. Baguette sandwiches range from VND 9,000 - 35,000 and unclude
favourites such as tuna and salad mayo, BLT, chicken and avocado,
and Camembert and bacon sandwiches. Plus there's some more unusual
angles, such as No Noodles All-Day Breakfast (homemade sausage,
crispy bacon, egg, plus salad and mayo) and chicken tandoori. On
the menu you'll also find toasted sandwiches (VND 25,000 -
26,000), plus salads, including Indonesian Gado Gado (with peanut
sauce). These all can be washed down with delicious fresh fruit
juices (VND 18,000). Dine at the sandwich bar on stools, outside
in a little sunny courtyard area at the back, or takeaway for
picnics. But best of all, there's free delivery to your home or
office in Hanoi. Perfect if you can't get away from your workplace
and need a sandwich at your desk. Just like being in London again.
