da dia rapids |
The Da Dia Rapids are located in the
village of An Ninh Dong, Tuy An District. These strangely structured
rocks include large upright stones equally arranged in a star
pattern.
There is also a pile of dark cylindrical stones, half immersed in
the water. In the middle of the rapids, there is a small fissure
filled with rain and sea water and containing blue, red, violet and
yellow fish. |

Around the fissure, rocks stick out at odd
angles. The waves break into white foam as they wash up on the
rocks. In front of the rapids, there is a large and deep cave.
This site is quite difficult to reach, as the landscape id still
wild and primitive. The rapids have been listed as a National
Heritage Site by the Ministry of Culture and Information.
